Creamy Vegan Eggnog Espresso Martini
The best Vegan Eggnog Espresso Martini has a velvety texture and is made in minutes with creamy vegan eggnog and other simple ingredients. It’s a festive and decadent drink that should be on all your holiday cocktail menus.
Holiday season is upon us and so is the perfect espresso martini. It makes a bittersweet dance on your taste buds that is the rave of social media. This boozy drink is the most festive cocktail recipe you can serve during the holidays (except for maybe this Apple Cider Mimosa, my festive New York Sour or my Blackberry Smash) and will give you a jolt of caffeine to help get you through the day.
☕ Ingredients (With Substitutions)
- Vegan Bailey’s Irish Cream – I’m so excited that Bailey’s Irish Cream now has a vegan version, Vegan Almande. This is essential to make this drink.
- Vegan Eggnog – you can either use my recipe (link to the left) or purchase vegan oatnog online or from your local grocery store.
- Dark Rum – dark spiced rum like Captain Morgan works best but you can also use brandy or another favorite alcohol
- Espresso – espresso works best, however if you don’t have an espresso machine, you can substitute with really strong coffee.
- Cinnamon – I love to sprinkle ground cinnamon or nutmeg over the top of this festive drink and also add a cinnamon stick to each glass.
- Coffee Beans – whole espresso beans are used for garnishing your Vegan Espresso Martini, however, if you don’t have, you can omit them.
- Sweetener (Optional) – if you have a sweet tooth you may want to sweeten this coffee cocktail with your favorite sweetener. Think vanilla syrup, regular syrup, agave syrup, organic brown sugar or a monkfruit sweetener.

🧾 How To Make A Vegan Eggnog Espresso Martini
Add ice to a cocktail shaker. Add desired amount of rum using a measuring cup or jigger.
Next, add your espresso. You’ll want it to be room temperature so it doesn’t melt the ice.
Add the eggnog and Vegan Bailey’s Irish Cream. Place the lid on and give it a good shake for 20 to 30 seconds.
Strain into martini glasses. Garnish with coffee beans, a dash of cinnamon and a cinnamon stick. Enjoy!
👩🏿🍳 Expert Tips
- Up Your Presentation – for an even classier presentation, serve in a chilled martini glass. To do this, rinse your cocktail glasses with cold water and place them in the freezer for about 10 minutes. While they’re chilling, prepare the perfect cocktail.
- Experiment With Toppings – while cinnamon and coffee beans are traditional garnishes for this cocktail, feel free to experiment by trying other toppings like shaved chocolate and a sprinkle of nutmeg. You can also garnish the rim of your glass by wetting the rim and then dipping it into pumpkin pie spice.
- Fresh Is Best – for best results, use freshly brewed espresso when making this Eggnog Espresso Martini. Although you can substitute with super strong coffee, avoid using instant coffee or previously brewed coffee to get the richest flavor.
- Shake Like A Madman – 20-30 seconds of vigorous shaking will give this delicious drink a nice frothy foam that looks great in a martini glass.
⏲️ What Equipment Do I Need?
Although no fancy equipment is necessary to make this recipe, I love using this cocktail shaker kit as you can see pictured in my classic Vodka Moscow Mule. It has a built-in strainer that works great and is relatively inexpensive compared to other brands.

Yes. I’ve made it dairy-free by using plant-based milk, no eggs and vegan Bailey’s Almande instead of regular Bailey’s Irish Cream Liqueur.
You sure can. Simply add the ingredients to a large mason jar, tightly secure the lid and shake it like crazy. Use a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to strain it.
