🍓 Strawberry Champagne Vinaigrette Ingredients (With Substitutions)
- Strawberries – fresh are best but you may substitute with equal amounts of frozen. When using frozen strawberries, allow to sit at room temperature to thaw for about 2 hours before blending with the other ingredients. My favorite way to use this amazing pink recipe is as a dressing for strawberry salad.
- Champagne vinegar – this type of vinegar has a light, fresh floral flavor that’s perfect for vinaigrettes. If you don’t have champagne vinegar, however, feel free to substitute using white wine vinegar instead.
- Olive oil – I prefer to use cold pressed olive oil in my vinaigrettes as it condenses the oil’s flavor to maximize freshness, quality and health benefits. However; you can also use extra virgin olive oil or another kind of neutral oil like grapeseed oil in this recipe.
- Agave nectar – use this nectar of the gods to make this dressing sugar-free. No agave, no problem! Substitute with any other type of sweetener.
- Lemon juice – from fresh lemons work best. But you may choose bottled lemon juice if fresh lemons are not available.
- Dijon mustard – nothing adds to the tanginess of this blender salad dressing like Dijon mustard. If Dijon is unavailable, feel free to use whatever mustard you have on hand.
- Sea salt & white pepper – these are to taste per your preference. You may use more or less as desired.

💭FAQS

Yes, because champagne vinaigrette contains no alcohol, it is safe for children to enjoy!
Vinaigrette is made by combining oil, usually olive oil, with something acidic, usually a citrus juice. It is used to “dress” the salad greens. Dressing, on the other hand, is more like a sauce that’s usually cold and used to “coat” or top salads.
