Healthy Fruit Salad w/ Lime-Maple Dressing (GF, WFPB)
A healthy fruit salad loaded with fresh, colorful fruit and tossed with a light, lime-maple dressing. Takes only 10 minutes to prepare and is made with only 5 ingredients.
How can a fruit salad recipe get any more delicious? Toss it with my Lime-Maple dressing and you have a serious flavor explosion! Or try it with my Strawberry Champagne Vinaigrette for a real treat!
This fruit salad is inspired by three things:
- My fear of kiwi (it’s such a weird, fuzzy little fruit, isn’t it?)
- Being sick for over 2 weeks and wanting something light and healthy to nourish my body.
- My need for something quick and easy to whip up before my next bronchospasm.
This recipe is so easy to make, requiring only 5 ingredients and about 10 minutes to prepare.
And let’s not forget the taste factor here; this fruit salad is seriously delicious. Ripe winter fruit is tossed with a very simple, light and healthy Lime-Maple dressing, a pinch of sea salt and sprinkled with sesame seeds. The bomb!
What You’ll Need for this Recipe
All you need to make this tangy Healthy Fruit Salad are:
- 4 kiwi’s
- 2 bananas
- 2 apples
- a few pomegranate seeds
- a sprinkle of sesame seeds
That’s it. You can use any dressing you have on hand or whip up some of my Lime-Maple dressing which is also super easy to make requiring only 3 ingredients to make.

Thank you Madi, for your comment. The dressing is quite simple, but so appropriate for this salad. I hope you get a chance to try it.
I love fruit salad and I appreciate that this one has many layers and textures, so you have a bit of softness and a bit of crunch!
Hi Jenni, I couldn’t have said it better myself. Thanks for your lovely comment.
Simple and delicious! I love kiwis.. though I don’t know how to choose the best ones, sometimes I pick up extremely sour ones 🙁
love the dressing too, will go great on many salads!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for your comment, Ashima. I think they are similar to other fruit when they are ripe, they are a little soft.
Lime-maple dressing sounds so good! I would love this fruit salad.
Thanks Marissa.
What a gorgeous winter salad! I remember when I could first get kiwis – they did look odd, but we’d cut them in half and eat them with a spoon. Took me a while to get around to peeling them!
Hi Anne, thank you. Ya, I explain in the post that for some reason, I have always had a strange fear or kiwi. I was half joking, but only half! Thanks for your comment.
This looks fantastic, and especially perfect right now because my son just started to be obsessed with kiwi – he will eat 2+ whole kiwi in one sitting as long as I’m willing to keep peeling and cutting them for him! He’s 2.5 so I’m happy when he eats pretty much anything green – ha. The dressing sounds lovely, as well. Great winter salad!
Thank you Monica. That’s so cool you little one likes Kiwi. Maybe you have a budding vegan! Thanks for your comment.
I have the same fear of kiwi, which is why I’ve never bought them! I keep telling myself to get over it and just buy a couple to see what I can do with them. That stinks about being sick, but this salad sure looks like a delicious and light way to eat
Hi Karyl, finally someone understands my fear of kiwi. Lol. Thanks for your comment.
I love the idea to add sesame seeds to a fruit salad – how unexpected! This is such a great combination of colors and textures. Looks terrific!
Thank you Ashley, I love to put sesame seeds on a variety of dishes.
This salad sounds absolutely delightful. I love the sound of the light maple and lime dressing. And such a great idea to celebrate winter fruits, which get overlooked, I think!
