PEAR JAM RECIPE (NO PECTIN)

Here are the 4 basic  ingredients you'll need for this jam: pears, lemon juice, ginger and sugar. You won't believe how easy this jam is to make.

First peel, core and slice the pears. Keeping the slices fairly small will speed up the cooking time.

Next, finely chop the ginger. Add pears, ginger, lemon juice and sugar to a pot.

Turn heat to medium to melt sugar while stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and allow jam to simmer until it thickens. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before ladling into sterile jars.
